kaviiqI had a rather interesting wake-up call this morning when my roommate Demi, who was on the 2:00 AM flight from Anchorage, opened the door to my room at three and pounced on me. Pounced. She even shouted "INVASION OF PERSONAL SPACE!" while she did so.
I rolled over and finally got to sleep again at around 4.
Today also marks the first day of Edgecamp, where new students and returning students socialise, meet with staff members, get medical examinations, etc. I spent a good chunk of today chatting with my US History teacher. I even lost a game of Scrabble to her and two freshmen. Sometimes there's just no justice. :<
After Edgecamp, Mom came and checked me out of the dorms and we went to dinner. It was kind of overpriced, but it was probably healthier than whatever was served in the cafeteria.
Oh, and I finally saw Miki-sensei again. I've told her to meet with Demi and myself at some point in the near future. If I ever get my schedule figured out, I'll most likely be studying with Miki-sensei during Japanese III independent study.
In the meantime, I've still got to unpack two totes.
