There's three days until Edgecamp starts, and I've been zoning out for the past two hours or so. I woke up around 5 o'clock this morning as the ferry made port in Kake. It was all kind of surreal, waking up on a noisy, vibrating ship. The noisiest thing I've heard in the past few months are the Coast Guard helicopters that fly over our house every once in a while.
Though now that I think about it, I probably won't have that kind of peace and quiet for the next few months. At least I'm not living in Main Dorm with 80-something other girls any more.
And now I'm in the state capital. I'm rather disappointed that I can't see the legislature building from the hotel window.
Ah, well. At least we've got a more stable governor in office.
